Fundraising NGO Growth Lab: learning to create more opportunities for Ukrainian children

From May 13 to 16, the team of the Star for Life Ukraine took part in the Spring School of Fundraising NGO Growth Lab, an educational program by the Institute of Leadership and Management at the Ukrainian Catholic University dedicated to strengthening the fundraising capacity of civil society organizations.
The program provided the team with new knowledge and practical tools, covering topics such as strategic fundraising, partnership development, donor communication, and the use of AI in a fundraiser’s work.
“This course provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of fundraising and reflect: no matter how many strategies, plans, and systems we build, without a strong organizational culture, shared values, and trust within the team, no plan will perform”, Fundraising Officer Iryna Huk shared.
The next phase of the training program will consist of mentoring sessions for the selected participants, and we sincerely hope that this will provide a real boost to our organization’s growth.
“The program allowed us to step out of our “bubble” to hear the experiences of other organizations, look at our own processes anew, and find the courage to rethink them. Grateful to the organizers for the professional growth opportunities,” noted Program Director Myroslava Oseredchuk.
As part of the program, participants also visited the UNBROKEN ecosystem and met with representatives of the Development Office of the Ukrainian Catholic University.
