Stockholm, Sweden - February 26, 2026 - In the fifth year of full-scale war, Ukrainian children face enormous challenges: constant threats, displacement, lack of access to education, studying in bomb shelters, and blackouts. Many girls encounter additional barriers in accessing tech education and leadership opportunities. Yet these young people keep showing up, learning, and aspiring. Committed to the value of empowerment and being a company with an extensive social responsibility strategy, DanAds decided to support Ukrainian children by helping to create more opportunities for the fulfillment of their potential.

As part of a charity auction organized by Star for Life Ukraine in Malmö at the end of last year, Istvan Beres, CEO and Co-founder of DanAds donated SEK 120.000 to support the foundation's program for the development of female leadership in IT - Girls in Tech. The program was designed to empower girls to step into the world of technology, challenge stereotypes, and become young leaders and innovators.

"Through partnership with Star for Life Ukraine, we’re committed to supporting youth by encouraging personal growth and girls’ leadership, despite all the challenges they face,” said Istvan Beres, CEO and Co-founder of DanAds. “The Foundations’ dedication and impactful everyday work to empower young people through education, resilience, and self-confidence aligns deeply with our values. We’re convinced that investing in youth is investing in the future of Ukraine and Europe”.

Over 3,000 Ukrainian girls have already joined the program, taking their first steps in IT through tech skills, motivation, mentorship, and building confidence in their own power. The initiative has great growth potential, each year demonstrating a higher percentage of girls' engagement and closing the gender gap in tech education and representation.

The funds transferred by the co-founder will be allocated to organize a summer camp SheCAN TechCamp 2026. The 10-day educational and rehabilitation camp in the Ukrainian Carpathians, designed by Star for Life Ukraine, will enroll girls who are interested in technology, design, programming and want to develop in these areas. A special focus is on involving underprivileged and displaced children and those affected by war. The program will combine educational, creative and psychological components aimed at developing inner resilience and leadership: the basics of programming and UI/UX design, English lessons, soft skills, art therapy, and active recreation.

"Children in Ukraine are growing up with the sounds of war. Yet every day, they show us that resilience is stronger than fear. Our partnership with DanAds gives us the means to create something these girls deeply need - a safe space, an inspiring community, and real skills to build their own future. When business and civil society stand together, that is when meaningful change is born," - says Dennis Wolowyk, Country Director of Star for Life Ukraine.
